What is Stapled Haemorrhoidopexy?

Prolapses and ligates internal hemorrhoids using circular stapler. Reduces pain vs traditional surgery. Faster recovery. Excellent for Grade III-IV internal hemorrhoids with prolapse.

Indications

• Grade III-IV internal hemorrhoids
• Prolapsing hemorrhoids
• Failed conservative treatment

Procedure

Anoscopy visualization. Placement of purse-string suture above hemorrhoids. Stapler application creates plication and hemostasis. Minimal pain due to above dentate line placement.

Recovery

Day procedure. Return to activities 1-2 weeks. Full recovery 3-4 weeks. Pain minimal compared to traditional hemorrhoidectomy. Success rate >90%.
