The liver is the body's largest internal organ and performs over 500 vital functions — from filtering toxins and producing bile for digestion to synthesising clotting factors and regulating blood sugar. Liver disease ranges from reversible fatty liver to serious conditions like cirrhosis and liver cancer. At Charak Hospital, our integrated hepatology team provides diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment for the full spectrum of liver conditions.
